New baby!

Il 24 di maggio è nata Sofia, la sua mamma qualche settimana fa mi ha chiesto se gli preparavo un fiocco per la sua nascita, mi ha fatto delle richieste precise... doveva essere un quadretto con un orsetto/bambolina, il nome della bimba ed i colori...verde e fuxia. Non mi sembrava possibile, potevo esagerare con il colore... e così ho fatto!

The May 24 Sophia was born, her mom a few weeks ago asked me if I could prepare a birth staple, and she made me some specific requests ... it had to be a picture frame with a teddy bear / doll, the name of the baby ... and the colors green and fuchsia. It did not seem possible, I could go overboard with the color ... and so I did!

Come base ho usato una cornice di legno e l'ho colorata di bianco, ho rivestito l'interno con una carta a pois fuxia ed ho posizionato l'orsetto al suo interno (unico tocco rosa baby... il fiocco al collo dell'orsetto!).

As base, I used a wooden frame and I colored in white, I lined the inside with a paper in fuchsia polka dots and I placed a teddy bear on the inside (one touch baby pink, th bow at the neck of the teddy bear!).

Alla base la scritta Sofia, ho colorato con l'acrilico fuxia le lettere e le ho lucidate con la polvere da embosser trasparente (passata sulle lettere due volte).

At the bottom, the name Sofia, I colored with the acrylic fuchsia the letters and I polished them with transparent embossing powder (passed on the letters twice).

In alto delle piccole bandierine attaccate ad un filo. Il risultato finale è un quadretto semplice e colorato... come richiesto da Rosangela per la sua piccola Sofia!

At the top, some small flags attached to a wire. The end result is a simple and colorful picture ... as required by Rosangela for her little Sofia!

Spero di avervi ispirato... può diventare un simpatico fuoriporta per la camera dei bambini!

Fiocco nascita "alternativo"!

Ben ritrovati, per questo nuovo post, un'idea carina per un fiocco nascita non proprio tradizionale! Daniela, in attesa di una seconda bimba (forse anche già nata!), mi ha contattato per farmi realizzare un fiocco nascita come quello che avevo pubblicato sul blog di Hobby di Carta qualche anno fa.

Con qualche modifica... ecco il nuovo fiocco per Sara e per la sua sorellina maggiore Giada:

Welcome back! For this new post, a nice idea for a birth bow not really traditional! Daniela, waiting for a second child (maybe even already born!), contacted me asking to make a birth bow as I had published on the Hobby di Carta blog few years ago.

With a few changes ... here is the new birth bow  for Sara and her older sister Giada:

I colori li ho mantenuti tutti, anzi ho intensificato di più il rosa! Ho utilizzato come base delle tele quadrate... per il resto... sono rimasta fedele al progetto originale!

I kept all the same coulors, in fact I enhanced more pink! I used as basis the square canvases... for the rest ... I have stayed faithful to the original project!

Per il fiocco di Sara ho aggiunto la scritta "benvenuta" ed una piccola tag tonda per scrivere la data, mentre per Giada niente scritta e niente tag... ma naturalmente gli stessi colori!

For Sara's birth bow I added the word "welcome" and a small round tag to write the birth date, while for Giada no writing and no tags ... but of course the same colors!

Basterà poi togliere, al fiocco di Sara, la scritta e la tag per trasformarlo in un colorato quadretto per la cameretta. Buona settimana a voi tutti che passate di qua... e al prossimo post!

B.day

La scorsa settimana mia cugina ha festeggiato il suo compleanno e mi ha chiesto se gli preparavo delle borsine sulla falsa riga di quelle che avevo preparato per la Comunione di Camilla! Gli piaceva l'idea della fialetta di vetro con all'interno dei semi di fiori, cambiando un po' i colori... ecco cosa è venuto fuori...

Last week my cousin celebrated her birthday and she asked me if I could prepare some the little bags similar to the ones I prepared for the Holy Communion of Camilla ! She liked the idea of the small glass vial with inside the flower seeds, changing a bit 'colors ... here is what came out ...

Visto che però le borsine mi sembravano un po' vuote con all'interno solo la fialetta gli ho preparato anche dei biscotti a forma di fiore con la scritta "happy b.day"!

I thought that the small bags seemed a bit empty with just inside the small vial, so I prepared biscuits in the shape of flower with the words "happy b.day"!

Ed ecco le borsine complete con fialetta (all'interno semi di Girasole) e maxi biscotto... tutto sui toni del verde-azzurro-bianco e kraft.

And here are the little bags complete with small vial (sunflower seeds inside) and maxi cookie ... all in shades of blue-green-white and kraft paper.

Alla cugina sono piaciuti molto... chissà ai suoi ospiti... io comunque mi sono divertita molto a realizzarli!

My cousin really liked them ... I wonder if guests liked them too ... Any how, I really enjoyed creating them!

Un anno di Dolce Attesa (o quasi!) One year of Dolce Attesa (or almost!)

Una bella esperienza! A nice experience!

Una settimana fa si è concluso il mini corso che ho tenuto nella classe (quinta elementare) di Camilla, tre incontri divertentissimi... I bambini sono fantastici, spontanei, non vi devo nascondere che al primo appuntamento ero un po' in ansia ... Pensavo... Venti undicenni scatenati che non mi daranno mai retta! E invece, come solo i bambini sanno fare, mi hanno stupito, mi hanno seguito tutti nelle varie fasi di lavoro ed ecco il risultato finale!

A week ago ended the mini-course that I held in Camilla's classroom (fifth elementary school), three meetings full of fun ... The kids are great, spontaneous! I can't hide that on the first date I was a little 'anxious ... I thought ... Twenty wild eleven years old kids, they will never listen to me! But, as only children can do, I was amazed, they all followed me during the various stages of the project and here is the final result!

E questa la sorpresa per me a fine corso...

And this was surprise for me at the end of the course ...

Ora sono tutti indaffarati ad inserire foto e dediche per riempire il loro album dei ricordi intitolato "cinque anni insieme". Per questa bella esperienza devo ringraziare tutta la 5a A e cioè: Alessandro, Aurora, Beatrice, Benedetta, Camilla, Carren, Davide, Erika, Federica, Gabriel, Gianluca, Giorgia, Giulia, Leonardo, Lorenzo, Maria Vittoria, Paolo, Rebecca, Stella, Vittoria e naturalmente la Maestra Carla che ha fatto in modo che tutto ciò si potesse realizzare!

Now, they are all busy to paste photos and dedications to fill their memory album titled "Five years together." For this beautiful experience I have to thank the whole 5th A:Alessandro, Aurora, Beatrice, Benedetta, Camilla, Carren, Davide, Erika, Federica, Gabriel, Gianluca, Giorgia, Giulia, Leonardo, Lorenzo, Maria Vittoria, Paolo, Rebecca, Stella, Vittoria and of course the theacher Carla, who made sure that everything you could accomplish!

Ma sono proprio io?! But is it really me?!

Sembra proprio di si... Non mi sembra ancora vero... Ma il 19-20 ottobre 2013 sarò io una delle due insegnanti della Seconda Edizione di October Scrap! Insieme a me, in questa avventura, la mitica Lory... che altro posso aggiungere se non un ringraziamento speciale alle organizzatrici e... vi aspettiamo numerose! QUI potete seguire gli aggiornamenti su questo evento!

It seems so ... It does not seem real yet ... But on 19-20 October 2013 I will be one of the two teachers of the Second Edition of October Scrap ! With me in this adventure, the legendary Lory ...  what else can I say? just add a special thank you to the organizers and ... we look forward to have many of you with us! HERE you can follow updates on this event!

Ma la primavera? But spring?

Già... ma la primavera che fine ha fatto?! Nell'attesa ho deciso finalmente di cambiare un po' il look al mio blog... avevo in testa tante cose... ma alla fine non sono riuscita a fare molto... mi devo applicare di più e mettere in pratica i preziosi consigli che un'amica mi ha dato qualche mese fa! 

Sempre mesi fa avevo preparato dei sacchettini con caramelle che un'amica di mia figlia ha regalato per il suo compleanno, potrebbe essere un'idea carina anche per confezionare confetti o biscotti fatti in casa.

Yeah ... What happend to Spring?! While waiting, I finally decided to change a bit  the look at my blog ... I had so many things in my head ... but in the end I could not do much ... I have to apply more and put into practice the valuable suggestions that a friend gave me a few months ago! 

Always months ago, I prepared some bags of candy that a friend of my daughter gave as 'thanks' for her birthday, it could also be a nice idea to pack sugared almonds or homemade cookies.

E visto che i colori ricordano tanto il sole mi sembrano perfetti per questo primo post dopo il cambio look! Per prima cosa ho preparato e stampato un file con tutte le scritte che vedete sullo scotch kraft.

And because the colors remind me so much the sun, seem perfect for this first post after changing the look! First I designed and printed a file with all the writing you see on the tape kraft.

Una volta stampate le scritte ho posizionato le strisce di scotch kraft sul foglio appena stampato l'ho inserito di nuovo nella stampante ed ho ristampato le stesse scritte.

Once printed the writings, I placed strips of tape kraft on the printed sheet and I put it back in the printer and I have reprinted the same writtings.

A questo punto, facendo attenzione a non strappare la carta, ho staccato le strisce di scotch personalizzate.

At this point, being careful not to rip the paper, I tore off the strips of customized scotch. 

Ho riempito di caramelle gommose dei sacchettini di celophan, li ho chiusi con delle fasce di carta patterned che ho decorato con dei fiori e con un pezzetto di scotch kraft.

I filled the cellophane bags with candies, I've closed with bands of patterned paper that I decorated with flowers and with a piece of scotch kraft.

Semplici e veloci da realizzare... adatti per diverse occasioni...  possono diventare degli allegri segnaposto basterà stampare il nome degli invitati e porterete a tavola un po' di allegria e colore!

Simple and fast to realize ... suitable for different occasions ... they can become an happy placeholder, simply print the name of the guests and you will bring to the table a bit of fun and color!

BUON ANNO! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Dopo esattamente due mesi di assenza eccomi di nuovo qui per il primo post di questo nuovo anno!

Gli ultimi mesi del vecchio anno sono stati frenetici, pieni di impegni... sempre di corsa per stare dietro a tutto e naturalmente il blog ne ha risentito... però tutto non si può fare!

Allora vediamo se riesco a recuperare un po' di tempo perduto...  vi faccio vedere cosa ho realizzato per il Natale appena trascorso... e non solo!

Incomincio con la tela "made with love" preparata per la Mostra Concorso "Istanti al femminile" organizzata da Hobby di Carta. Un'arcobaleno di cuori cuciti (o quasi) su una tela con il titolo trasferito su tela grazie ai suggerimenti della Manu.

After exactly two months of absence, I'm back here for the first post in this new year!

The last months of the old year were hectic, full of commitments ... always rushing to keep up with everything and of course the blog has suffered ... But it is impossible to do everything!

So, let's see if I can recover a bit 'of time lost ... I'll show you what I made for the Christmas just spent ... and not only!

I begin with the painting "made with love" prepared for the Competition and Exhibition "Istanti al femminile" organized by Hobby di Carta. A rainbow of sewn hearts (or almost) on a canvas with the title transferred to canvas thanks to the suggestions of Manu .
